AESA explores new opportunities for diversification and internationalisation at the VALMETAL conference: ‘Metal without borders’
On 15 October, our manager Iñaki Urchueguía took part in the conference organised by VALMETAL under the slogan ‘Metal without borders: opportunities for diversification’. The event, focused on the internationalisation and diversification of the metallurgical sector, was held in an atmosphere of collaboration and learning, bringing together key professionals from the sector and institutional representatives.
The Valencian Institute for Business Competitiveness (IVACE), represented by Cristina Villó, presented a complete portfolio of services to support companies in their international expansion. During her speech, Villó explained the tools and resources available to promote the internationalisation of companies such as AESA, highlighting the importance of taking advantage of these services to detect strategic areas in which AESA can develop growth initiatives.
Among the services highlighted by the IVACE are:
- IVACE Foreign Network: This service facilitates market prospecting and connection with importers and key agents.
- ‘Find your market’: This tool helps to identify the priority markets that best fit the characteristics of the product and the company.
- ‘Market Insights’: Provides an overview of the most relevant trends in international markets.
On the other hand, Teresa Almerich, representative of VALMETAL, gave a presentation aimed at complementing the information provided by IVACE, underlining the importance of internationalisation and the strategic reasons for doing so. She also shared an exhaustive analysis of the most relevant international trade fairs in the sector, such as MetalIndustria, Advanced Manufacturing Madrid, BIEMH Bilbao, WeAR Bilbao, Advanced Manufacturing Barcelona, Euroblech Hannover and Big 5 Global Dubai. Almerich advised researching these fairs and taking advantage of their websites and attendees to obtain strategic information.
The presentation also included an analysis of the US, European, UAE and Asian markets, with relevant data for companies looking to expand into these territories. The need to be informed and prepared to face the demands and opportunities of each market was highlighted.
